Training

Training can be one of those areas that businesses can sometimes neglect particularly when they introduce new systems and procedures, or even as the business simply grows and develops the assumption is that the most important assets of any business its ‘staff’ are following suit.

At Deansberry we recognize that people feel valued, less stressed, able to perform their roles better.  It reduces staff turnover, if they receive effective training.  That is why we offer a wide range of courses.

In today’s fast evolving business world so heavily reliant on IT, it’s very easy to be left behind. Most businesses will upgrade their computer systems, but forget to upgrade the knowledge and skills of staff that have to use them, in order to achieve the maximum benefit from the system upgrade.  We will build into the implementation plan, a training plan if we are undertaking your business systems implementation or we can develop one for you if you have recently upgraded your system or had a new install.  Research has indicated that projects that spent more than 15% of the budget on end-user training are more successful than projects that spent less.

Training Needs Analysis

In order to plan effective training it is important to make sure that the right staff get the training they need, otherwise you could end up wasting money on providing training or the wrong training to staff who don’t need it, and missing out those that do need training.  That is why at Deansberry before we start a programme of training we would undertake a Training Needs Analysis, to ensure your investment in your staff is maximised.  This information is then used to customise the training programme, set its aims and objectives that meet the needs of the business and the individuals.

Mode of Delivery

Our experience has shown us that mode of delivery has to suit the business; our training programs result in minimum disruption to the prime function of any business - serving its customers.  In order to facilitate this Deansberry would tailor the training by using a combination of the following:

  • One to one
  • Large group/small groups
  • Away days
  • In House
  • Intensive training
  • Use of ICT to facilitate learning
  • Buddy system
  • Lead/super user
  • Study circles/networks
  • Presentations
  • Peer learning
  • Cascading
  • Active learning
  • Workbooks

Once the program of training has been agreed then it could be rolled out. The pace and style of delivery used will ensure that learning is maximised.

Experienced and Qualified Trainers

In addition to in house trainers, which Deansberry use to deliver the majority of the required training, Deansberry can call upon a large bank of qualified and experienced trainers to meet any requirements the business may have.  This then ensures you get the best possible training to meet your needs.

Impact Surveys

One of the concerns expressed by some businesses is that they cannot see the value of the training that they have provided their staff.  Deansberry would not only undertake detailed evaluation of the delivery of training but also a ‘Impact Survey’ at agreed time periods which will give you a clear picture of how effective the training has been in meeting its aims and objectives.
